This is a naval warfare-themed mobile SLG game, where I am primarily responsible for the following tasks:
System Design and Optimization
Created detailed design documentation and collaborated closely with programmers and artists to complete functionality development, test bugs, and ensure successful acceptance.
Redesigned several UX interfaces and introduced shortcut navigation to optimise key retention points, particularly in the first 30 minutes of the new player experience.
User Research
Through user surveys and simulated gameplay sessions, I identified potential causes of player churn. I implemented targeted adjustments to the numerical design to address retention issues, especially for new players around the 15-day mark.
Data Analysis
Analysed new player retention, first-month retention, and gameplay participation rates to monitor operational health and ensure stable game performance. I also conducted specialised data analysis, including early warnings for potential churn and tracking participation rates of different user types in specific gameplay features.
